Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star, Thaao Penghlis, who plays mostly bad guy (but looking like he could have a heart somewhere in there) Andre DiMera, is celebrating a very special day.
Penghlis was born and raised in Australia and celebrates his birthday today on December 15, 1945, so he’s turning 72 today! Recently, the handsome actor shared that he will be spending the holidays with his family back in his native Australia for the first time in five years!
Penghlis moved to New York after high school to study acting with the famed Milton Katselas and made his stage debut in the critically-acclaimed play, “Jockeys.”
While he’s most known today for his role as Andre on DAYS, he started on the show by playing his look-alike pseudo brother/cousin Tony back in 1981. That same year he also played Victor on General Hospital (GH), a role he returned to a few years ago.
