Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star, Peggy McCay, who joined the show back in 1983, is celebrating a very special milestone.
The legendary actress was born in Manhattan, New York on November 3, 1927 and turns 90 today! She attended Barnard College and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
While she’s known mostly for her role as Caroline Brady on DAYS, her first soap role was as Vanessa Dale on Love of Life. In between, she appeared on almost every classic television show you can think of — from Kraft Theater, to The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Twilight Zone, Lou Grant, Gunsmoke, and countless others.
In 1991, she won the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series primetime Emmy for her role on the show, The Trials of Rosie O’Neill. She was nominated two other times for a primetime Emmy and five times for a Daytime Emmy.
Soap Hub wishes McCay a very happy birthday.
