Roman Brady may be in a lot of trouble on Days of Our Lives thanks to Hattie, but Josh Taylor has a lot to celebrate!
He was born Tommy Tim Taylor on September 25, 1943 in Princeton, Illinois, which means that Josh Taylor’s turning 75 years old today!
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth University and he holds a Juris Doctorate in Law. He was tending bar near the DAYS studiowhen he was discovered and cast as bartender (natch!) Chris Kositchek in 1977.
He continued in the role until 1981, and returned in 1982 and stayed for five more years.
But before that, he appeared on several primetime shows like Police Story, Barnaby Jones, The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, and The Six Million Dollar Man.
After leaving the first time, he was the lead in the short-lived series, Riker, along with Ed Begley Jr., but it was cancelled after five episodes.
His next big series was when he was getting ready to leave DAYS the second time — Valerie on NBC with Valerie Harper and later when it was morphed into the Hogan Family. His time on both shows combined lasted from 1986-1991.
In 1997 came a move that shocked DAYS fans — Taylor returned to the show but not as his original character. Instead, he became the new Roman Brady, which was odd since both characters shared a past with Marlena (Deidre Hall).
Soap Hub wishes Josh Taylor the happiest of birthdays.
