Breaking Days of Our Lives spoilers for October 17-21 promise a heart-pounding week in which Salemites find themselves in and out of danger. Will they finally get rid of The Terrible Trio’s ring leader?

Showdown Time
Clyde (James Read) was the first to end up back in prison, and it looks like Xander (Paul Telfer) is next. Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) lets his clan know Xander’s fate, and Theresa (Jen Lilley) decides it’s time she tells all about why Xander was in prison this time around to begin with.

However, Orpheus (George DelHoyo) is still at large and tells John (Drake Hogestyn) his ultimate dastardly plan. With Marlena (Deidre Hall), Hope (Kristian Alfonso), and Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) lives in grave danger, John feels it’s time to give himself up. When Steve learns what’s going on, he sneaks out of the hospital for the showdown of year between him, John, and Orpheus. Later, Marlena and John share an emotional reunion.

All’s Calm On The Salem Front?
The latter part of the week seems calm compared to the earlier part of the week. Hope is still wracked with guilt over the Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) situation, especially when Rafe (Galen Gering) and Eduardo (A Martinez) help out with the Trio.

Baby Daddy News
Meanwhile, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) can’t keep her mouth shut any longer. She warns Chloe she’s going to tell Deimos the truth about her baby–and she really does it. Deimos is shocked (and yet, not shocked) to learn he’s the baby daddy. It looks like Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) is finally moving on from Nicole when his breakfast with Blanca is interrupted by a man from her past.

Does JJ Have A Secret?
Gabi (Camila Banus) and Chad  (Billy Flynn) end up bonding even more when JJ’s life is in danger. Later, Chad tellls Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Adrienne (Judi Evans)  he is ready to take care of Thomas on his own. This is also just when Jennifer hears JJ (Casey Moss) muttering something odd in his sleep. Does he know something they don’t know?
