Right Where He Wants Her
Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) knew he was getting close to something with Stefano’s murder. He just needed the last bit of proof before he could put his plan into motion. Unfortunately, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) gave him that proof on a silver platter when they discussed the case – while his phone recorded everything. Aiden knows that this is the only way he’ll be able to come between Hope and Rafe and that’s his end goal here. He delivers the shocking news to Hope, but will she play his game to keep her freedom?
Rising Stakes
Salem is on edge and it’s up to the mayor to let everyone know what’s happening and strive for calm heads to prevail. Abe (James Reynolds) gets ready for a press conference in Horton Square where he aims to do just that. It’s going to be a tall order, because the stakes keep rising. Turning up that pressure on everyone is Orpheus (George DelHoyo), Clyde (James Read), and Xander (Paul Telfer), who are making more demands. They have Joey Johnson and now Claire – which has Grandpa John worried sick (Drake Hogestyn).
John and Steve (Stephen Nichols) decide to work together to bring the kids back to safety. They come up with a plan while people gather out in the open (whose bright idea was that?!?) to hear Abe’s address. Despite trying to say the perfect words to bring calm to everyone, the opposite occurs because gunfire can be heard. It causes chaos as people run for their lives.
