The summer-long mystery of who took Tate on Days of Our Lives is finally solved next week when Nicole stumbles onto the truth. Kate was behind the kidnapping that nearly tore Brady and Theresa apart.

The Evidence
According to the September 12 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Kate (Lauren Koslow) thinks her life is on the right track when Chad (Billy Flynn) asks her to help repair DiMera Enterprises and restore the company to its former glory. She has no idea Brady found a pill at Victor’s and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is busy tracking down its origins.

The Confrontation
Nicole learns that Kate bought pills from a street dealer and lo and behold it was the same drug found in Theresa the day Tate was kidnapped. When she tells Victor (John Aniston) and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) the truth, they confront Kate and she fesses up.

So, why did she do it? According to Digest, Kate thought pitting both Kiriakis brothers against each other would cause them to kill each other. Clearly, things didn’t go as planned because now Victor and Deimos have teamed up to bring her down. But, wait–not so fast! Kate warns both them that she has enough on them to bring them down with her.

They soon realize going to the cops is a bad move that can land them both in hot water, but somehow the situation chips away at the animosity between Victor and his younger half-brother.
