The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, January 10 features Ben coming to a stunning realization about his future with Ciara… and ending things!
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) copped to his plot with Claire and admitted to Ciara (Victoria Konefal) he did it because he thought it was the only way he’d have a chance with her. She was upset he lied to her, and then he told her Chad fired him and she assumed he’d still be working for Stefan if he wasn’t arrested.
She wouldn’t let him explain and he gave up trying and said goodbye. He realized he was foolish to think they’d ever make it and he walked out, upsetting Ciara… who then booked a trip to visit Theo.
Eve (Kassie DePaiva) found Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) comforting Brady (Eric Martsolf), who just returned from a visit with Tate.
Eve rubbed it in that she’s hanging with Jack, and he asked why she’s gunning for Jennifer. She accused him of being jealous, but he said he doesn’t recognize her.
Later, Brady asked Chloe to dinner but she wanted to get the kids. When she called Maggie, she was shocked to learn Holly’s with Eric.
Eric (Greg Vaughan) was thrilled when Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) brought Holly by for a visit. When Chloe stopped by to pick up Holly, she and Sarah had words again and Eric revealed he’s made a decision about going for custody.`
Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen) wanted Abby (Kate Mansi) to press charges against Gabi. Abby refused so Trask threatened to prosecute Chad for kidnapping. Abby refused to testify again. Trask got angry at what Abby’s done to her career, and Abby kicked her out.
Chad (Billy Flynn) followed up with Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who visited Abby and said she’d babysit Charlotte so Abby can attend a surprise event. After a stern talk about forgiveness, Abby agreed.
Haley (Thia Megia) told JJ (Casey Moss) that Kayla’s forcing her to see Marlena. He quizzed her about what she’s keeping from Kayla. Haley got mad at his interference. Later, she then got another pressuring phone call and it was revealed to be Trask.
