The Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, January 25 features Rex putting two and two together and getting five!
Eric (Greg Vaughan) was obviously upset about Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) betrayal, and Rex (Kyle Lowder) tried to get him to open up. Then, he went on and on about Sarah and Eric stormed off to his room.
A stunned Sarah woke up to find Xander (Paul Telfer) in her bed. He was looking for round two, but she kicked him out, promising it will never happen again.
Later, when Eric went to leave, Sarah was at the door. She apologized, wanting their friendship back but he didn’t think he could get past it.
Rex went to see Sarah but her room was empty. Before he left, he found the condoms Xander had on the ready. Upset, he went home and found Sarah holding Eric’s hand.
Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Eve (Kasse DePaiva) listened to his announcement for mayor and were excited until they learned of Melinda also running. He was ready to quit but she insisted they find a way to pull this off.
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) asked Abe (James Reynolds) for a comment about his new opponent. He wanted to know why she didn’t warn him. She told Sheila, so of course, it got lost. He reamed Trask (Laura Kai Chen) but she overheard and confronted him.
Jennifer took Abe’s side, irritating Trask, who accused her of covering up the botched Xander case.
They ran into Abe and Jennifer, and Jack announced he’s running for mayor too. Jennifer got Jack alone and warned him his past will be a liability. Back at the hotel, Xander was waiting for Eve.
JJ (Casey Moss) told Haley (Thia Megia) her sister’s running for mayor. Haley left and ran into Melinda, who asked if she had spilled to JJ. She admitted to telling Marlena her secret. JJ saw them and Haley finally told him she’s an undocumented immigrant.
