The Days of Our Lives recap (DOOL) for Tuesday, September 5 has Gabi not knowing when to keep her mouth shut, and Tripp saying the wrong thing to Kayla.
Sit DOWN, Gabi
Gabi (Camila Banus) apparently STILL hasn’t figured out what to do when kidnapped, because she thought standing up to Raines and calling him names was the right way to stay alive. He disagreed and slapped her.
He then took his gun and menacingly ran it gently up her bare shoulder and around her head, alerting Gabi to the fact she was in big trouble. He let her know she wasn’t a hostage but a witness, bringing home her true fate as he lifted the gun to her head.
Time Running Out
Rafe (Galen Gering) and Eli (Lamon Archey) quickly realized what must have happened when they found Gabi’s stuff at TBD and the empty envelope from Dario (Jordi Vilasuso). They alerted a worried JJ (Casey Moss) and Lani (Sal Stowers), as they all worked fast to try to find her.
Double Trouble
Before Hope (Kristian Alfonso) learned about Gabi, she was at the Kiriakis mansion to question Justin (Wally Kurth) and “Adrienne” (Judi Evans) about Anjelica’s (Morgan Fairchild) death.
Justin stood up for Bonnie, saying she was with him, but then he remembered how she didn’t want him in her hotel room.
Justin left to call Alexander and tell him about his mother’s death while Bonnie tracked down Hattie (Deidre Hall) to ask why/how the heck Anj was found half-naked in her hotel bed.
In the Doghouse
Tripp (Lucas Adams) was hurt and shocked when Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) turned down his donation to the hospital — she refused to have blood money. Steve realized he was still in the doghouse and put his heart on his sleeve with Kayla.
She admitted that he still has to be a father and she feels being a mother to Joey has been taken away from her.
Apparently, being horrible to Steve is all about her jealousy that he still has someone to parent. Steve felt horrible for her and Kayla finally accepted Tripp’s money.
Green-Eyed Monster
Theo (Kyler Pettis) remained jealous when Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) offered Tripp the chance to be their roommate.
He admitted he was giving away his money and would need to downsize. It seemed like kismet to Claire but not to Theo, though he finally gave in.
