New Project Teaser
“I once again have a project in the works! I should know if it’s happening next week. It’s not the one I talked about before but it will fun!!” tweeted the actor, not commenting officially if he would indeed be returning in some fashion to Days.
Reckell last appeared on Days in November of 2015. This past June, he briefly appeared on the series as a character in Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) dream.
Bo’s Untimely Death
Fans were heartbroken when Reckell’s beloved character of Bo Brady was killed off suddenly as he recalled his iconic love story with the love of his life Hope.
“I think mostly what affected people were the memories. Most of those scenes were 30, 25, or 20 years old, and so that sort of tells you the landscape of who has been most affected by this,” said the actor in an interview with Michael Fairman Soaps.
“It’s those people who were changing their high school and college schedules so they could watch the show, pre-DVD and DVR, and back when we were putting DAYS on our VCR’s,” he recalled.
During the unforgettable soap moment, Hope, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and Stephen Nichols (Patch) were grieving over Bo’s dead body. Reckell had to play the difficult scene without breaking down himself.
Said the actor in the interview, “The difficult part was not having tears streaming down my face. It was like I wanted to say, “Hey, let me reach up and hug you while you are crying!” It was that kind of moment for me,” he shared.
“Actors are put in difficult situations, and that was one of my most difficult situations to just try to be convincingly dead, because there were so many emotions going on inside my body at that time,” Reckell concluded.
