Could Hernandez Siblings Derail Chabby Reunion?

It feels like an eternity since Chad and Abby were torn apart by her “death” on Days of Our Lives.

While we learned she only faked her death, the threat of falling back into madness is very real for the fragile young woman.

So much so, Abby (Marci Miller) has continuously gone back on her decision to out herself to her mourning “widower” and son. This delay has allowed Chad and Gabi to grow closer and rely on each other more and more.

But another surprise has been born out of this delay – she’s had a run-in with Dario Hernandez (Jordi Vilasuso), Gabi’s brother, and there seems to be a very real connection there.

Mourners Unite
While Abigail has been away, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Gabi, who has been mourning a death in her world too – Will – have grown to rely on each other as single parents, co-workers, and friends.

Chad seems to be more in touch with his feelings for Gabi while she tries to salvage her relationship with JJ, Abigail’s brother. Now it seems that Gabi has more reason to doubt JJ after she overhears that he’s keeping yet another secret from her – and it will no doubt push her closer to Chad.

These two have a sweet and potent chemistry, and it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing to see them explore their feelings a bit more. But what about Abigail?

Walk on the Wild Side
It has been a bit hard watching Marci Miller’s fragile Abigail force those around her to walk on egg shells, worried that any wrong move will send her packing and to parts unknown…again.

Seeing her be so weak isn’t the most interesting thing to watch, so it’s been with a bit of trepidation that we at Soap Hub have waited for a reunion with Chad. But something unexpected happened along the way – Abby has a completely different dynamic when she interacts with Dario, who discovered her at the docks and knows she’s alive.

Abby found her spine and blackmailed the bad boy into keeping her secret, and now he’s the only one she can really be around who won’t treat her with kid gloves.

It’s during these scenes that Miller is at her best – and it’s fun to see Vilasuso getting to really connect with another character and have fun.

His Dario is young, gorgeous, protective, and caring – and has been single way too long. He’d been Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) puppy dog admirer but has given up since Deimos won that battle.

But with Abigail, Dario has that spark again – and both seem better for it. Sure, Chabby is the couple with the long-rooting value but if that doesn’t work out, there are two couples who could come out of it that have awesome potential!
