Next week on Days of Our Lives, those three baddies — Clyde, Xander, and Orpheus — escape to wreak havoc on the good citizens of Salem in a way that’s never been seen before.
Well, at least not at the same time. The three actors recently spoke with Michael Fairman about what it was like to hear from their agents that DAYS wanted them back.
While it may have been a bit of a surprise for James Read (Clyde) and Paul Telfer (Xander), there were more reasons than you may realize when it came as a shock to the third member of the unholy triumvirate.

“I have my death scene on an old VCR tape,” George DelHoyo (Orpheus) confided to Fairman. That’s right folks — Orpheus didn’t go to prison at the end of his last reign of terror — but instead died. “I got shot by Roman, who was played by Drake Hogestyn at the time, and Orpheus fell and died with his eyes open.”
No ambiguity there, but alas, here we are. It’s what fans are used to — letting little things slide in order to get a great new story off the ground. And, this one should be a doozy as lots of our favorites face their former tormentors.
Telfer shared that his first stay went longer than he expected and that frighteningly, fans seemed to like him. He laughed as he told Fairman, “If you are remotely friendly to Nicole, then fans will let you get away with murder.” But he won’t be as friendly to Nicole (Arianne Zucker) this time. At the end of their “relationship” he nearly killed her, and remembers very well how it all ended.
Read did a good job summing things to Fairman. “I think between the three of us, all the residents of Salem will be afraid to leave their houses at night.”
We couldn’t agree more!
