Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Will and Sami Finally Make Peace

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Monday, December 11 feature a day that miracles really do happen, at least in Salem, as Will finally learns to accept his mother as is.

Oh Mother
Will (Chandler Massey) finally talked calmly with Sami (Alison Sweeney), who admitted she’s leaving for everyone’s own good. She didn’t want to uproot his siblings and she feels he needs space from her. Will apologized and admitted that he did remember a little bit – enough to know she did it out of love.

He said he’d like to work on their relationship slowly. She let him know he’s welcome to visit her and his siblings anytime. He felt fighting and forgiving seemed familiar and she had to admit it is. Before he left, Will found Hope’s ring, but Sami said it was hers from EJ.

Selfless Act
JJ (Casey Moss) asked Hope (Kristian Alfonso) to come over and showed her his resignation. She let him know it won’t help her, and they both need to let the investigation play out. JJ didn’t want to talk about it anymore and told Hope she could leave. She didn’t want to and then he blew up.

Hope found Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and told them JJ is in rough shape. She let them know he and Lani broke up.

Eric said he’d go speak to him. JJ tried to distract himself but memories of that night plagued him. He began throwing things in a fit of rage and frustration and started to freak himself out.

The Truth Is Out There
Eli (Lamon Archey) caught Rafe (Galen Gering) up on where they are regarding the investigation into JJ. He had a lead and went to the DiMera mansion. Sami arrived and told a nervous Rafe she had the ring but then couldn’t remove it from her finger. Hope walked in on them and wondered why they were arguing.

Jig Is Up
Steve (Stephen Nichols) filled in Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) about Kate (Lauren Koslow) blackmailing Tripp, using her to keep him quiet. It made Kayla furious, and she left to confront her. Meanwhile, Kate confided everything in Andre (Thaao Penghlis), who promised to support her.

Steve and Kayla busted in while they were talking, with Kayla going off on Kate. As they yelled at each other, Eli walked in, asking if it was a bad time. Kayla almost gave up Kate but Steve motioned her to stop. He promised they won’t let Kate get away with it. Later, Kate called Kayla and warned her to stay quiet.
