Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Steve’s Not Out Of The Woods Yet!

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for February 21 features Steve realizing that while he feels better, not everything has returned to normal.

Father and Son Reunion
Tripp (Lucas Adams) reunited with Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Tripp admitted to never killing anyone before. Duh, we sure hope not, Tripp! He told Tripp he’s proud of him for wanting to go instead of him but asked him to never do that again.

Steve asked his son not to blame himself and told him Joey wanted to confess long ago and is more at peace now. Tripp told Steve he loves him, and Steve said it back. Later, Steve realized his eyesight didn’t improve and told Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) they have a problem.

In the Dark
Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) shocked Ciara (Victoria Konefal) by returning early due to a flight cancellation. She was shocked when she heard what happened to Ciara and Tripp and then mentioned once again about the secret they’re keeping from her.

Later, Tripp walked in on their bickering and he told them both off. Claire noticed the closeness between Tripp and Ciara, despite Ciara’s protests. As Tripp and Ciara caught up, Claire recorded them and walked out of the room.

Valentine Surprise
John (Drake Hogestyn) confided in Marlena (Deidre Hall) about his guilt over Steve’s poisoning. She tried to comfort him and also apologized about Valentine’s Day. He then gave her a present – pearls and a promise to go anywhere in the world.

Oh Awkward!
Eric (Greg Vaughan) was thrilled when Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) arrived at his place with a donut for him. (She’s Alice Horton’s granddaughter, after all.)

They later went out and basked in their newfound relationship as Eve and Brady approached. Brady warned Jennifer away from him but she stuck up for Eric. Jennifer then warned him off Eve. Eric swore he’s over Nicole.

Cat’s Out of the Bag
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) asked Victor (John Aniston) if he and Brady are really on the outs. He confirmed and then she showed him his phone and asked him what the texts to Brady meant. After being updated, she said it’s cruel and he has to put a stop to it. He said he’s not Mickey Horton.

Maggie knew that but thought his cruelty was in the past. She told him to confess to Eve. Victor was taken aback by her request and asked what she will do if he doesn’t – just as Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) returned.
