The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for February 8 has Steve behaving like he’s going to be fine – right up until the moment he collapsed on the ground at Kayla’s feet.
Race Against Time
Steve (Stephen Nichols) was in Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) office to hear about his blood results but they were inconclusive, frustrating Steve. He then got dizzy and almost fell but insisted he just needed rest.
John’s (Drake Hogestyn) mystery guy approached him and Marlena (Deidre Hall) and when John went to speak with him. Marlena then spotted Will (Chandler Massey) and Paul (Christopher Sean) and wanted to know why they were at the hospital. They made up a story, making her curious.
The mystery guy told John they see all and gave him a new vial since he broke the old one. He said the ISA wants Steve dead. Will and Paul overheard, so Paul followed the guy and Will stayed on John, who called Steve to meet up with him. The guy pulled a gun on Paul, Will told John he knows about the poison, and Steve collapsed.
Eli (Lamon Archey) was reeling from the news Lani’s (Sal Stowers) baby is actually his. He didn’t like her suggestion to say nothing but admitted he doesn’t want to hurt Gabi now that she’s a suspect in Andre’s murder. Lani asked him to think about it, and Eli walked out on her. He ran into Valerie and told her he knows.
On the Case
JJ (Casey Moss) explained his plan to be an EMT to Abe (James Reynolds) when he asked for his blessing. Valerie (Vanessa Williams) voiced concerns about the wedding but Abe gave his full blessing. When JJ tried to make plans with Lani, she wasn’t in the mood and told him about Gabi being booked on suspicion of murder.
Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) knows Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) have a secret and she asked Tripp what it was. When he refused blab, she asked if there’s more than friendship there. He denied it and she told him her news about the Fresh Young Face contest Brady suggested she enter.
