Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Salem Holds Candlelight Vigil For Theo

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, December 1 features a somber mood as many of Salem’s finest attend Claire’s candlelight vigil for Theo and the Carver family.

Forgiveness Is Divine
A nervous Valerie (Vanessa Williams) apologized to Abe (James Reynolds) for Theo’s (Kyler Pettis) surgery going wrong and her part in that. She thought he never wanted to see her again. Instead, Abe told her he doesn’t blame her, loves her, and really needs her. The tragedy has brought them even closer.

Seeing The Light
Theo’s tragedy has also brought two other Salemites closer. A devastated Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) has been leaning on Tripp more and more. Wanting to help ease her pain, Tripp suggested they arrange for a candlelight vigil for Theo. Claire loved the idea and they got to work.

So many came, including Theo’s family, Valerie and Eli. Claire welcomed everyone with a speech. Abe went next, sharing a story about Theo and him being on the Spectrum. Claire then played a song she wrote for Theo. After everyone but Tripp left, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) pulled up on a motorcycle.

A Friend In Need
Earlier, Gabi (Camila Banus) and Eli (Lamon Archey) fought over JJ (Casey Moss). Gabi walked out on him and went to see JJ.

She let him know about Hope’s firing and his own job being safe thanks to Rafe. Gabi tried to get JJ to stop being so hard on himself. She hugged him, and he broke down in her arms.

Cousin Time
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) confided in Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) about her breakup. She realized she was scared to lose another person she loves and that’s why she kept Rafe at arm’s length. Jennifer encouraged her to tell him. Hope worried it may be too late.

Misery Loves Company
Rafe (Galen Gering) walked Sami (Alison Sweeney) back to her hotel room, and she told him what went down with Will. He told her about his breakup with Hope. She then started to break down about letting her son down, and Rafe comforted her. Things took a romantic turn as they found themselves kissing.
