The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, June 19 has Lani on the brink of death when she undergoes a C-section and begins to code.
We Are Family
Eli (Lamon Archey) worried when Lani (Sal Stowers) refused to sign the consent form for surgery.
Heartfelt words from JJ (Casey Moss) changed her mind. When Eli helped her breathe, JJ left them alone.
Abe (James Reynolds), Valerie (Vanessa Williams), Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) were planning Lani’s baby shower when Abe got the warning call from JJ.
After making the call, JJ returned as they were looking at the sonogram of the baby.
Abe arrived and tried to comfort Lani before surgery. Valerie offered to scrub in, which Eli appreciated. Lani was happy to see her too. As Abe took Eli aside, JJ left.
Cheers To Good Times
Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) were with Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) for a celebratory dinner together when JJ came for takeout at the Pub and shared the news. Everyone quickly headed to the hospital.

Fatherly Advice
Abe spoke with Eli about not walking away from Lani and the baby if things get tough, which Eli agreed he’d never do. Eli was surprised when Julie arrived.
When the others arrived, Eli was a little overwhelmed and asked for space. But as they began to leave, he asked them to stay.
JJ worried he was making Eli uncomfortable, but Eli thanked him.
Altered State
Lani started to feel funny and slipped into a deep sleep. She had a fantasy that the baby was JJ’s.
As she delivered the baby in the fantasy, back in reality Kayla worked to save her life as she flatlined.
Meanwhile, Julie went to Eric and asked him to lead them in prayer. Kayla came out to tell everyone that Lani pulled through but the baby, a boy, did not, which devastated both Eli and JJ.
