Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Kayla Is Distraught Over Steve’s Health

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for March 12 features Kayla being a rock for Steve… but even rocks can wear down under extreme pressure.

Guilty Conscience
John (Drake Hogestyn) helped Will (Chandler Massey) with Ari and Will tried to help ease John’s guilt about Steve. He also let him know they’re good after what he did to him – he would now trust him with his life.

Through Sickness And In Health
Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) discussed how he did his own research because he doesn’t want to be in denial. As they headed to dinner, Steve took a stumble. When John tried to help, Kayla yelled for him not to touch Steve.

He asked her to let it go with John and then got her to admit how angry she is that they can’t get more than two seconds of happiness. She was furious at how unfair life has been to them and Steve tried to comfort her as best he could.

Wedding Disaster
Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Eve’s (Kassie DePaiva) wedding blew up.

Eve told Sonny (Freddie Smith) if Brady had married her, Victor would have given Brady his job back at Titan, setting Sonny off on a tear.

After everyone left, Brady admitted he fell for her and she asked him why he didn’t tell the truth. She then asked about the proposal and she could see in his eyes it was part of the plot. He still wanted another chance and asked to start over. Instead she fired him.

Brady saw how hurt she was and wanted to fix it but she wouldn’t let him. She said she thought she was saving him from Victor but instead realized she needed to save herself from someone like him. When Eve tried to move out, he refused to let her walk out the door.

Paul (Christopher Sean) confided in Will and he talked with Sonny, and it’s really over for good now. As the two kissed and started to undress, Sonny arrived. Obviously hurt, Sonny asked where Ari is and Will admitted that John took her for the night. Sonny was angry and later picked up a guy at the Pub.

Victor (John Aniston) let Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) know he told Eve the truth and now he’d like her to return home. Justin arrived and ripped Victor a new one for not letting Brady tell Eve himself. Maggie stepped up and explained it was because she asked him to and then apologized that it hurt Brady so much. Maggie then agreed to come home.
