The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for April 16 has Marlena warning Stefan that John would move heaven and earth to find her – and John doing just that.
Shrinking The Kidnapper
Marlena (Deidre Hall) warned Stefan (Tyler Christopher) about obsession.
When he wouldn’t let her go, she warned John would tear down every wall to find her. He didn’t give in, leaving her locked away.
Barking Up The Wrong Tree
John (Drake Hogestyn) questioned “Abby” (really Gabigail) about Marlena. She tried to put him off, telling him that Marlena canceled their appointment.
Gabigail badmouthed Gabi, surprising John. He made it clear he didn’t believe Gabi confessed to her. Stefan arrived and introduced himself to John.
Marlena’s phone, now that he was out of the passageway, blew up with all of John’s texts.
Stefan covered and as he walked John out, he asked if something seemed off about Abby. Stefan covered again. Once gone, Gabigail told him about Chad questioning her. Stefan told her they needed to disappear.
Fighting For Control
Abigail (Marci Miller) encountered Andre (Thaao Penghlis) in her mind.
She asked him what was happening to her and told him everything. He suggested she try talking with Chad again, through the phone.
Instead, she heard John and yelled for help but Andre told her she needed to rescue herself this time.
When the name Laura came up, Abby sensed it was someone other than her grandmother as Andre took out glasses and began to clean them.
She wondered if it was someone in her head, and Andre praised her. She told him he didn’t deserve to die, prompting him to ask if it was Gabi who killed him? And if it wasn’t, who did she think it was?
Andre told her she needed to find the answers within. Instead, she screamed for Chad and Andre disappeared. Meanwhile, Chad went to Marlena’s office and let himself in. He went to write her a note and thought he heard Abby asking for his help.
Team Work
Chad (Billy Flynn) went to see Rafe (Galen Gering).

Cousin Time
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) ran into Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and the two caught up. Jennifer stood up for Rafe and asked her to reconsider ending things.
Later, Rafe arrived, and Jennifer made a hasty exit. He told Hope it wasn’t personal but he needed to talk with her about the dark-haired woman in Hong Kong.
