The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Monday, October 9 features Hope getting to the bottom of Ben’s claim that Will is really alive.
On the Case
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) asked Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) why Clyde, who at the time was being hunted by the cops, visited him. Ben flashed back to his father’s visit. Clyde (James Read) wanted to spring him and reunite him with his son, Thomas. Ben flipped out when Hope pointed out that Thomas is Chad’s.
Clyde then told him that he only killed two people, not Will (Chandler Massey). Hope reminded him of all that happened, wanting to know how his father explained it. She didn’t get answers but when Sonny arrived, he thought he knew someone who could get to the bottom of it all.
Stuck in the Middle
Victor (John Aniston) told off Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) for trying to force him into a corner to make a decision. Paul interrupted to fill Sonny in on what Marlena learned. Once alone with Victor, Brady worried about Nicole’s whereabouts. Victor guessed (rightly) with Eric, upsetting Brady.
Following Her Heart
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) showed up on Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) doorstep, saying she knows why he left (because of her) and she’s not letting him do it. She accused him of running away, and he admitted she was right – about everything. He told her he never stopped loving her. Eric begged her to leave but instead Nicole kissed him.
Family Matters
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) allowed Steve (Stephen Nichols) to draw her into a dance, as the two seemed to connect. They wondered if they should fill Joey in about what happened with Ben. Kayla then confronted Steve, asking if he told Tripp not to go to the wedding for her sake. She asked him to consult her in the future. He agreed.
Seeing Green
Theo (Kyler Pettis) and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) returned to the apartment to hear Tripp (Lucas Adams) singing one of her songs. Theo asked Tripp if he skipped the wedding because of feelings for Claire. Tripp swore he was only helping Claire – she’s just a friend. Tripp then left to give them alone time, which they both liked.
