Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Gabi and Eli FINALLY Make Love!

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for January 16 features Eli and Gabi basking in the afterglow of their night together until Gabi finds something that could derail their love.

Playing with Fire
Abigail (Marci Miller) and Chad (Billy Flynn) were shocked to find Stefan (Tyler Christopher) in Theo’s room. After he left, Chad gave Theo a gift and Theo stood up for Stefan. Chad tried to set him straight about his brother.

Abby delivered the press release to Stefan, who was surprised she left the hospital to bring it to him. He noted that Chad was upset to see him with Theo and she told him he’s very protective of his nephew. She spoke of how perfect Chad is and Stefan threw his affair with Gabi in her face.

Green-Eyed Monster
Gabi (Camila Banus) and Eli (Lamon Archey) basked in the afterglow of lovemaking – until she got up and found an earring on the floor. Eli fessed up that it was Lani’s, shocking Gabi. Eli told her nothing happened, and she’s the only woman for him.

Later, Chad visited Gabi at work as Stefan continued trying to undermine Abby’s trust in Gabi and Chad. Abby refused to let him as Chad blew up after he learned what Stefan said to Gabi. Abby walked in on Gabi and Chad hugging.

Best Laid Plans
JJ (Casey Moss) shocked Eric (Greg Vaughan) with news that Lani’s pregnant, and it was obvious it worried Eric. JJ later visited Theo and told him (he already knew from Lani) about leaving the force. Theo asked JJ to look out for Lani while he’s gone.

Lani (Sal Stowers) confided in Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) what happened with JJ and it concerned her that she’s lying to him. Lani was so relieved to see how happy he was about it and she wanted to protect JJ. Kayla warned her the lie would eventually blow up.

Taking Kayla’s words to heart, Lani saw JJ and tried to tell him the truth but he wanted to speak first. He told her he told Theo she was pregnant – which Abe overheard!

Through the Grapevine
Earlier, Abe (James Reynolds) was depressed about Theo, and Valerie (Vanessa Williams) worried about them both. Abe considered going with Theo, and Valerie vowed to wait for him – but he changed his mind about going. Valerie visited Eli, and he confessed he slept with Lani.
