Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Chad Wants The Truth From ‘Abigail’

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Monday, April 2 features Dr. Laura testifying that Gabi admitted to killing Andre – throwing the courtroom into chaos.

Friendship On The Ropes
Gabi (Camila Banus) was livid with “Abigail” (Marci Miller) when she lied on the stand saying  Gabi admitted to killing Andre.

Justin (Wally Kurth) tried to discredit her to no avail. The pressure got to her and it seemed like she was going to morph into someone else , but then Dr. Laura seemed to retain control.

The judge called a recess and Gabi ran up to the witness box to talk to “Abigail” – with Chad (Billy Flynn) holding her back. “Abigail” swore on her son’s life she was telling the truth.

Chad stayed behind and argued with Gabi about what happened. He said something about Abby on the stand didn’t make sense – a look in her eye.

Gabi told Justin that she wants to testify on her own behalf. He talked her out of it and then Justin rested – saying the prosecution didn’t make a case.

Back at home, Stefan told Dr. Laura nice performance. She said it was because he created reasonable doubt and she had to fix that. She had to protect Abigail at all costs.

Chad arrived and questioned Abby. He asked her point blank if what she said on the stand was true.

Confession of Love
Earlier, Trask confronted Stefan (Tyler Christopher) about loving Abigail but he said he loves Gabby – different spelling from the defendant. She was confused as he walked away.

Disillusioned By Love
Abe (James Reynolds) was angry with Valerie (Vanessa Williams), but she asked for the chance to explain.

She said she didn’t want Lani to go through with her child what she did with Eli.

He knows she was doing it for her child but she did it at the expense of his – and he walked away.

Eli (Lamon Archey) wanted to speak with JJ (Casey Moss). They went into the box and Eli apologized.

JJ asked if he even wants to be a father. He hasn’t gotten that far with Lani. JJ then told him not trusting Gabi ruined all their lives. He told him to make it up to them by being the best father he can.

Loose Lips
Lani returned and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) told her that JJ and Eli were talking.

She then asked her to explain how she let her go on and on. Lani said she never wanted to hurt her or JJ. She asked Jennifer if there’s any way JJ would forgive her. JJ left and she tried to apologize but he walked away. Eli told Lani they needed to talk.
