If the Olympics preempting Days of Our Lives has you down, here are some fun categories some of your favorite characters could compete in and win.
Most Married to Each Other
No one can deny that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and his “Doc” (Deidre Hall) love each other. They are currently preparing to marry for the third time. If that has you scratching your head, you’re right – they have actually been married five times already but not all were legal. Their first wedding was 30 years ago in 1986 when he still thought he was Roman Brady. These two definitely deserve the gold medal in this event, and Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) would get the silver.
Most Children
There is no question that with nine children (10 if you count his having raised Tony as his son), Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) has been a busy man. Granted, a couple were adopted, but that still shows he’s the gold medal winner for fertility in Salem. You have to wonder–considering how busy he was running an evil empire, where did he find the time? OK, so he didn’t raise them all. You can definitely say he made an impact and has quite the legacy to show for it.
Longest Prison Stretch
And he wasn’t even guilty of the crime! Poor Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) wins the gold in this event and no one else is even close. What we can’t believe is Victor’s (John Aniston) gall. Deimos was willing to forgive him for letting him rot in prison if they could have a relationship and Victor practically spit in his face at the offer. If there’s a gold for worst brother ever – you win, Victor!
[relbar link=”http://soaphub.wpengine.com/days-of-our-lives/new-movie-touts-several-days-lives-stars/” text=”New Movie Touts Several Days of Our Lives Stars!”]Most Returns from the Dead
All of Salem wins! Seriously, while The Phoenix himself would probably win for most times, the entire town has had so many people return from the dead, it’s hard to give out just one medal. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), Hope, John, Marlena, Roman (Josh Taylor) – just to name a few – have all seen a reprieve from the Grim Reaper. It’s a bummer that Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) death had to be real but who could blame Jen (Melissa Reeves) for “seeing him” from time to time after all that’s happened around her.
