The week of August 7, 2017
Two major players are heading to town. One is an old Salem favorite. The other rose to daytime fame on another soap.
Louis Sorel, remembered as the irrepressible Vivian Alamain, is returning to the fold. She last appeared in 2011, when she left town and headed to Bollywood with her long-time man servant, Ivan (Ivan G’Vera). No word yet on when she’ll begin airing.

Tyler Christopher, beloved as General Hospital prince, Nikolas Cassadine, is creating a new character whose identity is being kept under wraps.
The actor has already taped a handful of episodes and setsiders report he’s been fitting in seamlessly.
This isn’t the first time Christopher has appeared on Days. In 2001, he played Signore Christofero and was part of a soap all-star stunt cast who attended Greta’s coronation. He is slated to turn up on screen in the new year.
Also, on set taping again are Brandon Beemer (Shawn) and Martha Madison (Belle). Look for the duo to pop up on air by the year’s end.
