Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of November 11, 2019

A pair of fan favorites is heading back to the Salem fold. Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi resurface as Chad and Abigail Di Mera on Monday, November 11. The characters had been off living in France, which viewers got to see a glimpse of via the Days app companion series, Chad & Abby in Paris.

Brock Kelly begins airing as Evan on Tuesday, November 12, young David’s nanny. The actor has appeared on DAYS before. Back in 2005 to 2006, he played Josh a barista at a Salem coffee house and was part of the teen storyline that featured Ashley Benson (ex-Abigail). Kelly also recurred on the primetime series Ravenswood (2013-2014) as Zack Springer.

Look for Kelly to share scenes with Freddie Smith’s Sonny, as the two men meet and get acquainted.

Days of Our Lives History

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and the longest-running of the daytime soap operas still on the air. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

DOOL’s Salem Drama Unleashed

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
