Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of November 18, 2019

James Read returns as Clyde Weston on Tuesday, November 19. The character turns up as an inmate at Statesville Prison. He’ll have scenes with his TV son Robert Scott Wilson, whose Ben is being held at the same facility. Read made his last appearance in October of 2018.

Kingston Foster aired as Will (Chandler Massey) and Gabi’s (Camila Banus) slightly aged daughter, Ariana Horton, last week. However, word is the role has been recast again. Foster took over the part from twins Sydnee and Harper Udell, who had been playing Arianna since 2013,

DAYS’ time jump story has revealed three deaths and, subsequently, three actresses exits from the soap. Chrishell Hartley is gone as Jordan. Meanwhile, Judi Evans, who plays Adrienne, and Thia Megia, who portrays Haley, will be appearing in flashback scenes over the next few months as their characters’ deaths play out.

Days of Our Lives History

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and the longest-running of the daytime soap operas still on the air. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

DOOL’s Salem Drama Unleashed

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
