Days of our Lives Comings and Goings September 7-11.

A family member, who’s suddenly all grown up, returns to Days of our Lives, and an actor has been cast in a pivotal new role. Here’s the soap’s casting news for the week of September 7-11.

The Week of September 7, 2026

A long-missing daughter surfaces on the soap this week. Sydney Malakeh makes her first appearance as Sydney DiMera, Sami (Alison Sweeney) and EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) daughter, on Wednesday, September 9, when she crosses paths with John-Paul Lavoisier’s Phillip and Cherie Jimenez’s Gabi in Monte Carlo. Malakeh’s credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Shrinking, Loot, and The Sex Lives of College Girls.

Meanwhile, Franco Lo Presti has been tapped to portray Dante, a character linked to Alison Sweeney’s Sami. (Could he be the Italian fiancé Sami mentioned on her last visit to Salem?) The actor is set to make his debut on September 14. LoPresti is best known for his role as Cliff Marleau on the HBO Max series, Heated Rivalry.

Maggie Carney continues to get more screen time as Rita. Look for the executive assistant to receive a new assignment from her boss, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), on Friday, September 11. Carney weighed in on some fan fiction that paired her character up with another Salemite.
