Days of our Lives alum Chrishell Stause has been mighty busy since her character, Jordan Ridgeway, was killed by the strangling hands of Christian Maddox in 2019. The actress has kept fans abreast about a book she’s been writing on social media, and this week revealed the book is ready for release.

Get The Details On Chrishell Stause’s New Book

“SO MUCH heart and soul went into writing this book #UnderConstruction !! I hope you guys don’t just see clickbait quotes taken out of context and actually read or listen to things in context,” she wrote on Instagram. “I know that is the nature of how things work, but I am going to enjoy this process as much as possible & I am truly honored that it feels like I have friends following along the journey!”

She also included a joyful video of her getting the initial box of books and seeing her completed book for the first time. Stause was surprised—and happy—that they made the book pink, and thanked everyone who had pre-ordered the book. “And I can’t wait to meet you guys at the book signings; I am so excited,” she enthused.

She says in the video, and on her post, that one of her goals in 2022 is to be a New York Times Bestselling Author, and thanks those who are helping her towards this goal.

“[To those] preordering the book or audiobook (links in bio!) I personally want to hug each one of you,” Stause said. “Excited to do just that and meet so many of you soon!!! Book & audiobook is everywhere Feb 8th & avail NOW for preorder. I may not hit this goal (obviously it is lofty!) BUT I am spending 2022 proclaiming my goals & you miss every shot you don’t take!”

The actress also expressed her appreciation to those who have stayed connected to her since she has left Days of our Lives. “Things don’t always work out the way you want them to, but how you get back up and try again is truly all that matters,” she wrote. “We have ALL felt defeated by life at some point or many, but I really hope we can connect on finding the heart, art, & humor of falling on your ass and trying again.”
