Will DAYS Spoilers Show Chad’s Schemes Cost Him Stephanie?

On the one hand, DAYS spoilers teased that Chad told Stephanie he wanted to keep things as they were. By which he meant that she live with him, have sex with him, take care of his kids, and act like a wife and mother…but Chad will let Stephanie know when he’s ready for her to really be his wife, and Thomas and Charlotte’s mother.

On the other hand, when it looked like Stephanie (Abigail Klein) might be having one chat too many with her ex, Everett (Blake Berris), Chad (Billy Flynn) decided he needed to mix things up. Mixing things up meant buying Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) share of the newspaper so he’d be Everett’s new boss. Will this be the dumb move that actually costs Chad Stephanie rather than binding her closer to him?

Secret Lovers, Secret Lies

We can’t swear to it, but it sure seems like Chad thinks he can keep his little buy-out a secret from Stephanie. Does he just intend to threaten Everett and assume he won’t breathe a word of it to Stephanie?

Sure, presumably, Chad can threaten Everett with losing his job. But the dude’s been Editor for less than a week. Not only is it easy come, easy go, but if Stephanie is what Everett really came to Salem for, wouldn’t he trade her for the position in a hot minute?

You Have To Move On

Of course, there is always the possibility that Chad is doing this to drive Stephanie away deliberately. He may be too much of a coward to break up with her — and have everybody say, “We told you so,” — but, hey, if she breaks up with him because Stephanie can’t handle working for Chad, well, then, that’s on her. Chad is the innocent party.

Give It Up

However, both of those scenarios only prove what a control freak Chad has become (wonder WHO he could have possibly inherited that from?), and both of them will lead to the end of the Chad and Stephanie relationship. If that’s what Chad wants, then that’s fine. But, if not, boy, is he making a mistake!
