A Couple That DAYS’ Could Really Use
For a hot second, Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Jada (Elia Cantu) seemed to be poised to be Salem’s next couple. Shawn was there to help Jada as she nursed her broken heart over Rafe (Galen Gering), while she helped him move on from Belle (Martha Madison).
Sparks were flying between the unlikely couple. Unfortunately, things fizzled out just as quickly as they got started for Jada and Shawn.
It seems that after Bo (Peter Reckell) woke up from a coma, Shawn has been MIA. Shawn and Jada’s romance appears to be a casualty of that decision.
There was no apparent reason or explanation for the couple just going by the wayside. Suddenly, Jada is back to being single and going on dates with Jeremy (Michael Roark), while still remaining off-screen.
One Reddit thread is just as baffled by Jada and Shawn’s potential romance getting shut down. “They dropped it for no reason Belle can have fun with EJ, but he can’t with Jada SMH,” wrote a fan.

Here’s hoping the writers decide to go down that road at some point, because they were a couple we could root for, and DAYS doesn’t have a lot of those lately. In fact, the Peacock soap needs some more couples on the show.
Granted, there are vets like Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), as well as Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Roman (Josh Taylor), whom we love. But the soap is certainly lacking in the new couple area, and we think Jada and Shawn could fill that void.
