Bo Brady is back on Days of our Lives. But he isn’t acting like himself. He’s not interested in reuniting with Hope. All he wants is to get away from Megan. And if he has to shoot his own sister to make that happen, Bo is open to that, too.

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) tried to get through to her hostile brother by invoking the special relationship he had with his daughter, Ciara (Victoria Konefal). And, yeah, Bo and wee Ciara were close — before he “died.” But what about the child Bo actually spent more time with?
DOOL: Ahoy, Matey
Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) named their firstborn child Shawn-Douglas. Douglas after Hope’s dad, Doug (Bill Hayes), and Shawn, after the man who raised Bo. The one who Megan’s (Miranda Wilson) file on Bo found too unimportant to even mention. Bo, Hope, and Shawn-Douglas sailed off into the sunset together. But then Hope “died.” And Bo was left to raise his little “Sailor” on his own.
DAYS: People, Let Me Tell You About My Best Friend
Bo and Shawn-D, as he called him, were a team. Bo included Shawn (Brandon Beemer) in all aspects of his life, even as he dated Billie (Lisa Rinna)…and Carly (Crystal Chappell)…and tried to figure out if Princess Gina was really his missing “Fancy Face.” (Spoiler: She was.) The point is, Bo actually spent more time with Shawn than he ever did with Ciara. Which is why we found it so odd that Kayla didn’t try invoking him when trying to reach her distant brother.

The fact is, if Bo is going to become the man we all once knew and loved, he is going to need to face everyone from his past, not just Hope, not just his siblings, and not just Ciara and his namesake grandson, Baby Bo…but Shawn, too.
