Vivan Can Never Be Trusted, Especially When it Comes to Her Son
If there’s one thing DAYS fans can count on, it’s that nothing good happens when Vivian (Louise Sorel, who recently got real about her character’s longevity) is around. Vivian always has a plan that’s for her own gain, and tends to involve her son Stefan (Brandon Barash).
The last time she was in the mix, Vivian had Stefan kidnapped to keep him away from Gabi (Cherie Jimenez). Fast forward over a year, and Stefan has supposedly died.
Notice we used the word “supposedly,” because DAYS is a soap. Something shady is happening with Stefan because of Vivian and her latest henchman.
Vivian isn’t losing her mind like the first time Stefan was killed. Remember when Lani (Sal Stowers) shot Stefan? Vivian was distraught, inconsolable, and out for blood. This time around, amid her mourning for her beloved son, she managed to work with Peter (Dan Gauthier) to kidnap some of Stefano’s (the late Joseph Mascolo) other children.
It doesn’t add up for us. Adding fuel to the fire is Vivan’s former employee telling Rafe (Galen Gering) and Eli (Lamon Archey) that Stefan was being held against his will when she worked there before his death, and the DNA test results.
Those results could have easily been Jake’s (Brandon Barash), giving DAYS fans a good old-fashioned soap DNA switch.
All signs certainly seem to point to some Stefan storyline that has nothing to do with him dying. DAYS fans chimed in on this topic on Reddit, with many convinced that Stefan is very much alive and that Vivian is lying.
“Stefan’s definitely alive somewhere, I didn’t believe that he was dead…Vivian up to something shady,” wrote a fan.
Fans also agreed that the DNA was Jake’s (Brandon Barash) and that Vivian was not acting like a grieving mother. Unfortunately, we might be waiting a while to find out the truth. Like whenever Gabi gets married—that is the soap way, after all.
