Days of our Lives Editors Take On A Heck of a Triangle
In discussing which DiMera man Ava (Tamara Braun) shares more chemistry with, Soap Hub editors Garren Waldo and Diane Brounstein took opposite sides in this debate. Garen thinks that Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Ava are hot together, while Diane loves the way the EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) challenges the Mafia Princess. Here are the arguments each presented.

Why deny the sizzle? Age is just a number, after all. Coupling bitter enemies EJ and Ava smacks of stale soap trope, and it’s a story that we saw play out not that long ago between Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus).
Johnny and Ava have palpable chemistry – in this writer’s eye at least – and an appreciable kinship that seems ripe for blossoming into something altogether more romantic. Imagine it: from friends to lovers; that has a much better appeal than the alternative.

It has been so much fun to see EJ seemingly having met his match in age-appropriate Ava. She doesn’t let him one-up her in any way, and while EJ realizes he can’t trust her, he can’t seem to help but be impressed. That’s not an easy job for anyone to pull off. He outsmarts 95% of the people he comes across.
