Salem’s Next Generation Has Some Career Decisions To Make On Days of our Lives

It’s almost Career Day for these young Salemites!

With high school graduation nearing and others in need of work, Salem’s next generation has some career decisions to make on Days of our Lives.

Teen Scene

Between Holly’s (Ashley Puzemis) overdose, Tate (Leo Howard) being in jail, and the introduction of newcomers Sophia (Madelyn Kientz, who will soon be replaced by Rachel Boyd) and Aaron (Louis Tomeo), Salem’s teen scene has been lively the last year. And with comas, unexpected pregnancies, and back-from-the-dead moms, who has time to think about the future?

But the time has come for this next generation. And some of them have already exhibited signs of what fields they’ll enter. Although Sophia’s mother has demanded her daughter become a doctor or a lawyer, the teen is far too crafty for such a humbling career. Waitressing at The Bistro definitely isn’t the job for her. So, maybe she’ll intern at Gabi Chic and replace the wayward Javi (Al Calderon) as Gabi’s (Cherie Jimenez) assistant. The girl knows how to dress, so a career in fashion may be just reputable enough for her standards.

If not Sophia, then another great option for an intern would be the future of Gabi Chic: Arianna Grace. Sure, her daughter is only said to be 14 right now, but Gabi would certainly give anything to bring her daughter home to Salem. Could she be on her way home when Will (Chandler Massey, who most recently starred in a Hallmark Channel Christmas hit) returns later this year? If so, does she have a knack for writing like her dad or a desire to be a fashionista like her mom?

As for Holly, she hasn’t shown much interest in anything that isn’t her schoolwork, and something tells us there will be much more of that to come. With the way Holly immediately tended to Doug III’s injuries, she could easily follow in her late father’s footsteps. She could become a doctor or a nurse at Salem University Hospital.

Then there’s Tate, who’s going to need to find a job fast if he’s going to support his future child. Becoming either Xander’s (Paul Telfer) or Philip’s (John-Paul Lavoisier) assistant at Titan sounds about right. But if an office job isn’t for him, he could always try out for professional lacrosse.

While not as young as the soon-to-be high school graduates, Doug III is really in need of a job. Now that Holly has helped him pay off his debt, he’s asked Leo (Greg Rikaart) for some help getting a job to pay her back. Could a glamorous job at Body & Soul be in the works? Or, at the very least, a job on set?
