Salem is about to be rocked by the return of Kristen and Sophia on Days of our Lives. Kristen basically forced Sophia to go back with her if she wanted her cash. It was a choice that just might come back to haunt Kristen, who wasn’t thinking clearly in the moment because of Rachel.
Key Takeaways
- Sophia has the goods on Kristen.
- Kristen just created a major problem for herself.
- The decision to bring Sophia to Salem wasn’t well thought out.
Kristen and Sophia Together Again
Six months after Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) death, she reemerged in Kentucky with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), finding her working in a diner under the name Amelia. Kristen wasted no time learning what Sophia remembered about the night she died.
Although Sophia hasn’t lost her memory, she didn’t recall that Kristen was the one who hit her with a rock. That missing detail was music to Kristen’s ears, making her convinced she was in control.
When Kristen got Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) text message about Rachel (Lorelei Olivia Mote), she went into panic mode. Sophia demanded the money Kristen owed her, but Kristen insisted she had to get back to Salem immediately. To get her money, Kristen declared that Sophia must come with her, and Sophia followed.
The Threat Kristen Didn’t Think About
Kristen has the notion that she’s untouchable, except maybe when it comes to EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). The entire time Kristen was manipulating Sophia into killing Johnny (Carson Boatman), she was definitely in charge.
However, things are different now, and so is Sophia. The latter came back more secure in herself. Part of that is Sophia knowing she has dirt on Kristen and isn’t afraid to use it. Kristen seemed oblivious to that change in Sophia, which means Kristen has no idea the threat she just created for herself.
Sophia turning up alive will raise so many questions. Ones that, if Sophia answers truthfully, will implicate Kristen in even more crimes. Kristen isn’t focused on that and isn’t thinking clearly because of her desperation to get to her daughter.
Will Sophia turn against Kristen? Anything is possible with Sophia, especially if EJ learns that she’s alive.
