Poor Ava Vitali on Days of our Lives. A life of scheming, lying, and crime has left her utterly unprepared for a life of…scheming, lying, and crime. If she’s not the one calling the shots. It was one thing when she was breaking the law by choice. Now that Clyde is making her do it, poor, sweet Ava is a nervous wreck. She can barely keep it together. So, how long until she goes running to Harris for a shoulder to cry on — and a guy with a gun to protect her?

Ava Vitali: Protect and Serve

Right now, Ava (Tamra Braun) is protecting Harris (Steve Burton). She loves him, so she lied and broke up with him, to keep Harris from knowing that his girlfriend is running drugs into Salem. She’s also protecting Tripp (Lucas Adams) from Clive (James Read). Ava is a giver. And she’s just going to keep giving… selflessly.

Risk Assessment

Ava is convinced that if she tells Harris what’s going on, he’ll get all manly, try to rescue her…and get a bullet between the eyes for his trouble. Clyde doesn’t play around. He is invulnerable to Ava’s charms and perfectly happy to make her kid pay the price for his mama’s disobedience. If Ava does crack from the stress and confess what she’s been up to, both the men in her life could pay the price. And Ava would never do that. She’s a giver.

The Girl Who Used To Be Me

Then again, Ava spent the bulk of her life not caring about anyone but herself. She’s blackmailed people, she’s tormented people, she’s killed people. So what’s another person, more or less? Ava will come clean to Harris, and assume he can take care of himself. If he can, well, her instincts were correct. And if he can’t, well, he’s a big boy, he makes his own choices. Easy come, easy go. You only get what you give.
