Um, Days of our Lives? We don’t mean to be a bother, but we are kind of confused. Maybe you can help set us straight. For years now, we’ve been told that Melinda Trask is the evilest evil who ever eviled, what with the way she keeps prosecuting guilty people with no concern for how attractive they are or how popular they are with viewers.

Days of our Lives Evil Reigns

Meanwhile, for months now, we’ve been told that Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) is the evilest evil who ever eviled, what with her doing her job and defending suspects with no concern for how much viewers want them to be guilty, and accusing Chanel and Paulina of breaking the law solely because they actually broke the law!

DAYS: Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other

So if Melinda (Tina Huang) is always wrong and up to no good, and Sloan is always wrong and up to no good, who are we supposed to root for when they fight each other? This is so confusing!

Days of our Lives Breakfast Showdown

Melinda confronted Sloan at the Brady Pub, accusing her of poisoning the biscuits that made Melinda think Stefan (Brandon Barash) might actually be interested in her. Melinda is always in the wrong, especially when it comes to identifying guilty parties, so Sloan must be innocent.

Sloan denied Melinda’s charges. Sloan is always in the wrong, so she must be lying. Which means Sloan is guilty. But both of those things can’t be true. Can they?

DOOL Back Story

Melinda recently had a sweet moment with Stefan. Does that mean she is giving up her spot as town pariah? And Sloan will be slotted in to fill it? If that’s the case, then Melinda is right, and Sloan is wrong.

But Sloan also had a sweet moment with Eric (Greg Vaughan) recently. Since he’s a beloved Brady, does that mean Sloan is moving into sweetheart — or, at least, forgivable — territory, like Nicole (Arianne Zucker) did after being with Eric? If that’s the case, then Sloan is right, and Melinda is wrong. Why won’t the show tell us what to think? So who do YOU think is? Let us know in the comments section below.
