Days of Our Lives star Cherie Jimenez has revealed one of her goals now that she’s part of the Peacock soap as Gabi. Jimenez took over the role of Gabi a year ago and has made the role her own.
Recently, Soap Hub talked about what happened to all the supercouples on soaps. The article caught Jimenez’s attention, prompting her to spill a little secret.
Gabi’s Got Options
On X, the DAYS star reshared the Soap Hub article to share one of her dreams after booking the role of Gabi.
“One of my goals since I’ve joined #Days & found out about Super Couples is be part one⏳✨♥️ 🥰,” she wrote.
The message got us thinking about who the guy is for Gabi that just might make Jimenez’s supercouple dreams come true. There are a few options for the outspoken, fierce, and stubborn Gabi.
One person we know who isn’t the right guy for Gabi is JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). We have nothing against JJ. The sparks just aren’t flying between them.
Sparks, however, are flying between Gabi and Xander (Paul Telfer) and Gabi and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). Gabi may be playing them to help Tony (Thaao Penghlis) get DiMera Enterprises back, but there’s still chemistry in the mix.
Listen for us; Xander and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) are endgame. Jimenez won’t reach her supercouple goal with Gabi linked to Xander.
Philip and Gabi, on the other hand. There’s a pairing we can get behind. They have the same spunk. They are both troublemakers, and they are each desperate to be loved.
The two of them could be themselves together without being judged by their partner or having a partner who forces them to live up to higher standards. Plus, Jimenez and Lavoisier have heat between them.

What about Stefan?
You can’t talk about the right guy for Gabi without mentioning Stefan (Brandon Barash). They were endgame at one point and were that way with various people in the roles.
When Jimenez took over as Gabi, it was clear that Stefan and Gabi still had that fiery soap couple thing. Unfortunately, the writers opted to send Stefan off into some DiMera abyss.
Since Barash moved to Nashville and was let go by DAYS twice, the odds of him coming back as Stefan are slim to none. That means it’s time for Gabi to find a new guy who can be her perfect match, and we think it’s Philip.
