The Salem University Hospital fundraiser turned out to be a major success, despite not every moment making a whole lot of sense last week on Days of our Lives.
Maggie Moneybags
When Chad (Billy Flynn) was uncertain about dating again, even if it was for a good cause, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) swooped in and saved the day when she bid $1 million for a date with him. Her bid alone could save the entire hospital, which begs the question… why didn’t she just donate this money in the first place instead of having a fundraiser?

Missing Kids
Everyone was graced by the rare presence of Thomas (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte (Autumn Gendron) with their adorable faces full of paint, but several kids were missing from this very kid-friendly, carnival-themed fundraiser. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) immediately noted how she wished they brought Victoria, while Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) own younger sister Felicity (Kennedy Garcia) was MIA. Salem’s teen scene clearly thinks they’re too old to enjoy a carnival for a good cause.
Taking Over Salem
The carnival decorations for the fundraiser seemed to span the entirety of Salem. Rather than just decking out the square, Chad and Cat clearly went all out by also decorating the pub and the park. Who knew this fundraiser was a town-wide event.
Where Was The Dunk Tank?
There were several mentions of a dunk tank at the fundraiser, yet when the day came, we didn’t see a single drop of water on any Salemites (except Xander (Paul Telfer) after Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) doused him with her drink). If only Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) volunteered to sit in the dunk tank while Xander donated his fortune in attempts at dunking his betraying brother. Now, that would have been much more entertaining than a measly fight in the square.
