Days of our Lives Daughters: Who Needs To Return to Salem For the Holidays?

Days of our Lives has always been about family. And even if there aren’t as many Hortons around these days as there used to be, we’ve got Bradys and Johnsons and DiMeras and Carvers and the Kiriakis clan to keep us entertained. But there are an awful lot of daughters, in particular, missing from home and hearth. Which one needs to return to Salem sooner rather than later?

Days of our Lives: All Better Now

When Claire Brady (last played by Isabel Durant) was still in town, things were always happening. They weren’t good things. But they were happening. She’s a young, vaguely nutso legacy character. She’s Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle’s (Martha Madison) daughter. She is John (Drake Hogysten) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall), and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Bo’s (Peter Reckell) granddaughter. She’s Doug’s (Bill Hayes) great-granddaughter. And now she’s related to Dick Van Dyke (Timothy), too! How can she not be a Salem mover and shaker?

Working It Out

And while we’re on the subject of Claire, her mom, Belle (Martha Madison), should come home with her. The last we saw Belle, she and Shawn were in the “off” section of their multi-decade on-and-off romance. This is par for the course. We know they’ll get together eventually. We’d like to see it happen onscreen.

Leading Lady

Ciara (Victoria Konafel) was such a popular Salem daughter that she was able to sell her romance with a serial killer (that would be Ben–find out more here)! Ciara and Ben had one son together, little Bo, and when we saw them recently, Ciara was pregnant again. That’s a whole family we’re missing, with Ciara as the head and heroine.

Did My Time

While Claire, Belle, and Ciara left town indefinitely and of their own accord, Lani (Sal Stowers) was shuffled off to prison — with a finite term to serve. Shouldn’t she be done by now? Goodness knows her mother needs her back in town. She’s running out of people to browbeat into getting her way!
