EJ DiMera and Nicole Walker have a long and checkered history on Days of our Lives. They involve triumph, tragedy, temper tantrums, and teasing. Also lying. Lots and lots of lying. Yet, throughout all that, there’s always been a connection between them. One that comes out at the least likely moments. Such as now.

When Nicole still isn’t divorced from the husband she cheated on, and the guy she cheated on him with has dumped her – which means she doesn’t have a place to live. So it’s EJ to the rescue! And, in the words of Beauty and the Beast, there just may be “something there that wasn’t there before.” Which is good news for the fans!

DAYS: Finally Getting It Right

The timing has never been right for Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and EJ on Days of our Lives. He’s usually been in love with someone else…mainly Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). And she’s usually been…making bad life decisions. Which is the case again here for her…but not for him. EJ is finally over Sami – for now. And he’s in a particularly vulnerable place due to the loss of his mother. Nicole is actually cheering him up. And vice versa. These two are making each other smile, which is kind of new for them. The passion has always been there. Also the hate. But the friendship is new.

EJ and Nicole have made each other lots of things over the years, but they’ve never made each other happy. And it didn’t look like they ever could…until now. The stars are aligned, the obstacles are temporarily out of the way, and, most importantly, the joy and playfulness is out in force. EJ and Nicole have never been a love match.
