There was much action and adventure on Days Of Our Lives last week, as yet another drug cartel minion popped up to threaten Chloe, Stefan, Gabi, and Ciara. Gabi texted Rafe who came rushing over – and got a bullet in the shoulder for his trouble.
Do fans enjoy seeing the cop in hero mode? Here’s how almost 10000 viewers voted:
I’m Loving It
This is the Rafe we fell in love with, 85% of the audience cheers. The one who’d be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause. The one who brings truth, justice, and the American way. The one who protects the women he loves… instead of haranguing them about what they’ve done wrong… or what they’re planning to do wrong.
Rafe the hero reminds you of why you fell for him and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) in the first place. Maybe it will remind Hope, too. Now that she’s faced the possibility of losing him, will Hope pay more attention to her marriage…and less to Ted’s lips?
And, if she doesn’t, maybe some other Salem siren will. What was that scene between him, Lani (Sal Stowers) and baby David about last week? Hmmm…
Pass ‘Er By
What heroism, a smaller, 14% of you wonder. He came charging in and got shot. Hector ran off with Ciara (Victoria Konafall). That’s not heroic. That’s Keystone Kops.
Why doesn’t Rafe face the fact that his real heroism isn’t in the action-adventure stuff, but in his loyalty?
The way he flew off to help Sami (Alison Sweeney) with Johnny. The way he is still trying to be supportive of Jordan (Chrishell Hartley). He helped with her baby, too. Seeing a pattern here, Hope? Rafe doesn’t want to be a hero. He wants to be a Daddy…
