Claire has always been fragile masquerading as ambitious and strong. Her self esteem was measured by how many likes her YouTube music channel received.
Plus, her parents left her behind with little supervision (thanks to Grandmas Hope and Marlena for dropping that ball), and Tripp did treat her horribly when he played hero to pal Haley.
None of this is an excuse for her homicidal behavior but it all contributed, not to mention her one ‘mother’ figure, Eve (Kassie DePaiva), saw her sickness but used her as a means to an end. Salem hasn’t done right by poor Claire but DAYS has given Keegan an amazing showcase of her growing talent.
If DAYS is smart, and we certainly hope they’ve seen the error of their ways in letting Keegan go, they will bring her back after a short stay in a sanitarium and do the flipside story of Ben (Robert Scott Wilson).
Claire tries to put her life back together and has to face her family after all she has done. We know Keegan would do an amazing job. In fact, we want to believe she is back on set right now and the news hasn’t leaked yet. (Hear our prayers, soap gods.) Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
