The happiness of Sonny and Will could be at risk now that Christopher Sean has revealed that his animated series, Star Wars Resistance, will be coming to an end with Season 2. But what does this mean for DAYS and those who loved his character, Paul?

The handsome actor shared the news about his animated series, along with a promo for the new season, to his Instagram account. In addition to sharing when and where you can cath the show, came the news of its end.

“The Emmy Award-nominated series “Star Wars Resistance” returns for its second and final season,” he wrote, surprising many of his soap fans who hadn’t heard the news about the show. Does this mean a possible return to the soap?

In case you’ve forgotten, the actor was seen visiting the studio a few months ago, which sparked speculation about a possible return. In the end, he said he was only there trying to visit friends and co-stars.

There’s no question the actor loved his time on the soap, so dissatisfaction had nothing to do with his leaving the show. That’s an important distinction for anyone hoping to see him back in his beloved role as John’s (Drake Hogestyn) son — and the third wheel in the popular pairing of Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith).

Those two seem to be awfully happy together — making a return of Paul, the man they both loved at one time or another, an interesting possibility. When Sean was leaving, just over a year ago, he made it clear how he felt about it.

“I will miss each and every one of you. This is not goodbye though, it’s until next time,” he wrote. “I will never forget my Days at Days. They were some of the Greatest ‘Days of My Life.'” Guess we’ll just have to stay tuned. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.

I want to let you all know from me. It was my decision to depart from Days of Our Lives. I loved every day I was a part of it and am so appreciative to the entire Cast and Crew and to Bruce Evans, Ken Corday, Greg Meng, Albert Alarr, Janet and Marnie and everyone that’s helped me develop into the actor and man I am today. I will miss each and every one of you. This is not good bye though, it’s until next time. I can’t thank all of the Fans enough and I hope that I can find another project to keep you entertained with me in the near future 🙂 Thank you for always supporting me and loving me. You all rock! Stay amazing my friends. I will never forget my Days at Days. They were some of the Greatest “Days of My Life.” @nbcdays @mrchristophersean #christophersean #farewell #untilNextTime #thankyou #allRespect #onlylove #diversity #onestepatatime #success #focus #driven #movingfroward #japaneseamerican #asianamerican #actor
