It’s been quite a year for Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star, Chandler Massey, but while he didn’t get an Emmy win, he got something even better.
Massey was nominated at this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards in the supporting actor category after previously winning in the Younger Leading Actor category.
In 2017, he brought his character back to life–literally.
Poor Will was alive but had none of his memories and had to deal with his crazy mom Susan (Eileen Davidson) battling his real mom, Sami (Alison Sweeney) — along with the romantic fallout of not remembering his widower, Sonny (Freddie Smith).
While co-star Greg Vaughan (Eric) ended up taking the Emmy statuette home, Massey still felt like a winner.
That’s because he was showing off his new girlfriend, Tristin Hagen. The adorable couple brought back true Hollywood glamour in the Emmy photos they posted to Instagram.
The actor remains in a hot story on the show — a new romance with Paul (Christopher Sean) while also getting to know his ex-husband Sonny a little better. It doesn’t seem like that connection is as buried as he might think and perhaps we’ll see it reignite soon.
Will is also going to have his mom, Sami, back in town in the near future when Sweeney returns for another intense story.
It’s safe to say that Will may have his hands full when she returns, which could give Massey more meaty material for yet another chance at the Emmy dance. He already has three from his previous stint on the show.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
