Chandler Massey’s Return Creates HUGE Expectations

Chandler Massey is heading back to Days of Our Lives (DOOL), after three-plus years away from the soap.

His portrayal of Will Horton resonated with fans and industry insiders, garnering him three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actor.

While DAYS won’t confirm who Massey will be playing, viewers are convinced it’s Will, who was killed off the show in 2015 (during Guy Wilson’s run as the character).

Soap Hub asked who you’re most excited to see Massey interact with once he resurfaces on the soap. A whopping 11,000 of you weighed in.

Mama Sami
The voting was close, but more than half of you, 52% to be exact, are looking forward to Massey’s first scene opposite Alison Sweeney, who plays his mom, Sami.

She was destroyed when she learned her firstborn had been murdered, so the prospect of finding out he’s alive and well be a bona fide miracle.

It’s sure to be a moment filled with drama and tears and immense joy, as Sami realizes the inconceivable has become a reality.

Hubby Sonny
Coming in second, at 42%, is Freddie Smith, who plays Will’s husband Sonny. Wilson fans were crushed when the soap killed off Will. You’d come to love and root for the couple through good times and bad –like Will’s affair with Paul.

You hoped they’d eventually reconcile. The prospect of seeing Will and Sonny come face-to-face again sends chills down your spine. It’s going to be magical.

Ex-Lover Paul
A few of you, 6%, are eager to see Massey’s initial encounter with Christopher Sean (Paul). Will and Paul’s affair sent shock waves through Salem, but at the time Guy Wilson played Will.

Now that it’s been dealt with and is in the past, Paul has moved on with Sonny and they’re about to be married. Seeing Will alive will cut Paul to the core, knowing his marriage dreams could go up in smoke.
