The Days of Our Lives cast was asked a simple summer question, and it turned into something interesting. Much like the debate over who had the messiest dressing room, the official DAYS Instagram page imagined what would happen if the cast hit the road together. The answer seems to be that nobody agrees on the destination, everyone has opinions about snacks, and Paul Telfer may already be holding the keys.

Key Takeaways

  • DAYS shared a cast road trip video on Instagram.
  • The cast debated who should come along for the ride.
  • Paul Telfer became the likely driver by group decree.
  • Vegas, the Florida Keys, and Sedona all came up as possible destinations.
  • Snacks and music quickly became the real road trip battlegrounds.
  • Linsey Godfrey declared 1980s music the worst decade, which may be the real scandal here.

Salem Hits the Road

On Instagram, DAYS shared a cast video and wrote, “The destination? TBD. The drama? Guaranteed. If the cast hit the road for a little Salem-style adventure, who would you want to ride with? 🚗”

The video featured several cast members choosing their dream road trip crew.

Lamon Archey (Eli) said, “It’s [a] summer road trip,” and picked Rob (Scott Wilson, Alex). AnnaLynne McCord (Cat), sitting with Dan Feuerriegel (EJ), had bigger plans and said, “We’re taking a party bus, first of all.”

Eric Martsolf (Brady) picked Carson Boatman (Johnny), while Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) chose Paul Telfer (Xander), Sal Stowers (Lani), Cherie Jimenez (Gabi), and Archey.

McCord kept adding names, including Conner (Floyd, Chad), Cherie, Rob, Abigail (Klein, Stephanie), Maggie, and Greg Rikaart (Leo).

Getting silly as the cast has done before,  Feuerriegel tried to join and asked, “Can I come?” McCord told him he was driving, which he rejected very fast, because apparently, even EJ has limits.

Snacks, Vegas, And DJ Trouble

The driving debate got ridiculous. Godfrey said, “I’m making Paul drive,” and added that everyone was making him drive.

Telfer admitted, “I like to drive, control freak,” while McCord said she preferred being chauffeured, which is probably the most honest road trip answer anyone gave.

As for the destination, Martsolf said they would probably go to Vegas and lose a lot of money. Feuerriegel agreed that Vegas was basically it, while Godfrey pitched the Florida Keys, and McCord offered Sedona. Feuerriegel’s reaction was a tired “Oh, God.”

Then came snacks and music, the real causes of every road trip collapse. Telfer said Godfrey is never more than three yards from cashews, dried fruit, and other supplies, while Feuerriegel hilariously declared, “Plus, I’m coming, so I am a snack.”

The playlist fight got dangerous when Godfrey said they were not letting Martsolf pick the music because “It’d be all 80s,” then called it “the worst decade of music.” [Blasphemy] McCord then tried to take over the music with a cringey Britney Spears moment, after which Feuerriegel asked whether any of this was usable. Somehow, yes. Probably all of it.
