On Days of Our Lives, Lexie’s shocking resurrection has turned Salem upside down, which honestly feels impressive in a town where people routinely come back from the dead, get possessed, or accidentally marry relatives they didn’t know they had. While everyone onscreen scrambled to process another DiMera-sized emotional earthquake, the show’s official social media page decided to lighten the mood.

Key Takeaways

  • DAYS shared a hilarious video featuring Salem residents giving terrible life advice.
  • Paulina warned fans not to date anyone in Salem because “everyone’s been with everyone.”
  • EJ and Stephanie joked that strong locks are essential for surviving Salem.
  • Philip advised viewers never to trust Salem DNA tests without multiple retests.
  • Marlena ended the video by answering the phone like Salem’s exhausted therapist.

Salem Residents Probably Should Not Be Life Coaches

DAYS posted a video on Instagram with the caption, “You asked a Salem resident for advice… and somehow it only got messier from there. Use at your own risk. ⚠️” The clip bounced between several Salem regulars offering brutally honest guidance about surviving life in town.

Paulina (Jackée Harry) began by reiterating the first question: “What dating advice do you have for somebody in Salem?” Her answer was brutally honest and hilarious. “You know, online, in person, you know, at a bar, at a grocery store, anywhere? Don’t do it. Everyone’s been with everyone. You don’t know what you’re going to catch.”

Up next was EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), who casually stated, “Okay, my question would be, what is the best way to secure your place in Salem? Because no one looks at doors around here.” Then, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) recommended calling, “Steve Earle Johnson, also known as my Papa Sweetness, and he will make sure that you’ve got triple deadbolt locks on your door. No one’s getting through there. Trust me,” continuing, ”What advice would you give someone whose husband’s fling shows back up in town with a baby claiming it’s his, asking for a friend?”

Salem Continues To Be The Least Relaxing Town On Television

Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) advised viewers never to trust DNA tests from Salem University Hospital unless they have “At least one retest, maybe two or three.” Then he posed the next one, stating, “What advice do you have when business gets personal?” And Xander (Paul Telfer) reminded everyone that, “You remind everyone that it’s business, not a family therapy session that needs to be done. Speaking of which, where is the best place to get actual good advice around here?”

And just on cue, Marlena (Deidre Hall) appeared and answered the phone, asking, “Dr. Evans, does somebody need me?” Fans, meanwhile, absolutely lost it over how painfully accurate the whole thing felt. One viewer joked that Dr. Evans needed to put the entire cast into “group therapy and intervention,” while another admitted, “Loved how Dr. Evans answered the phone as the video cut !!!”

And somebody else summed up the DNA chaos perfectly by writing, “Love these. Agree about the doors locked and don’t trust DNA test.” Honestly, Salem residents trusting hospital DNA results at this point feels less like optimism and more like a cry for help. 😂
