Bugging Out: Is Hope Working Your Last Nerve On Days of Our Lives?

Viewers watched Hope grow up on Days of Our Lives. From the time she was born to Doug and Addie (also Julie’s mom, but the show would rather you didn’t dwell on that too much), she’s had her moments of being a spoiled brat, as well as a less-than-ideal grownup.

But this time around, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) seems downright obsessed with keeping Ciara (Victoria Konefal) away from Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). Granted, Hope is a cop and Ben is a convicted serial killer. So, you know, she’s got her reasons.

But is Hope going overboard to the point where she’s starting to seriously bug you? Here’s what over 5,000 fans had to say about the entire situation.

You know it, 92% of the audience is happy to confirm. You get that no one wants their daughter hanging out with a guy who strangles people with neckties. But, then again, Ben has been declared sane, and, at a certain point, you’ve got to let your kids make their own decisions.

Plus, there’s the minor fact that Hope and Rafe (Galen Gering) could find no evidence tying Ben to the fire that nearly killed Ciara.

And now it looks like Hope is planting evidence to set him up. That is… not cool. Not to mention illegal. And an abuse of power.

Hope is so single-minded, she’s ceased to be fun and rootable. And that’s the biggest crime of all in your eyes!

Fair Game
On the other hand, a minority 7% believe that all is fair in love and keeping one’s child away from a serial killer.

No one denies that Ben is a convicted criminal, and if he refuses to leave Salem like he once promised Hope he would, then she has every right to hound him back into prison and away from her baby girl!
