Before our very eyes, Days of Our Lives star Bryan Dattilo has morphed from teen heartthrob to full-fledged leading man during his tenure in Salem as Lucas Horton, leaving a trail of broken hearts in his wake.
In the Beginning
The character of Lucas arrived in Salem hot on the heels of his graduation from military school, befriending Sami Brady, Carrie Brady, and Austin Reed. The conniving Lucas later learned he was the illegitimate son of Dr. Bill Horton and that arch-rival Austin and his sister Billie Reed were his maternal half-siblings.
Dattilo was born in Kankakee, Illinois. He later moved to West Palm Beach, Florida after his parents’ divorce. At the age of seven, he moved to Los Angeles. He began taking acting lessons at the age of nine, alongside his sister Kristin.
Dattilo’s other siblings include a brother Brent and three half-sisters, Tiffany, Anna, and Tess. But did you know that along with being a wonderful actor, Dattilo is also an amazing sports coach? He coaches son Gabe’s basketball, football, and baseball teams. The actor is also a father to a daughter, Delila.
